What we will and will not do
This tool adds one small head movement and a blink — the same on every portrait, applied carefully. It does not make your great-grandmother smile if she did not smile. It does not make a child laugh, or a soldier cry. It is the smallest possible animation; it is not a re-enactment.
An ethical note
We will not animate a photograph for the purpose of impersonation or deception. The output has a visible watermark and a metadata flag that marks it as animated. If you are unsure whether to share an animated portrait of someone who has passed, we suggest erring on the side of asking the family first.
